Here’s an easy, crowd-friendly way to make BBQ country-style ribs in aluminum pans—super tender, juicy, and perfect for oven or grill cooking.

🍖 BBQ Country-Style Ribs (Aluminum Pan Method)

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 3–4 lbs country-style pork ribs
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • 1–1½ cups BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1–2 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)

🔥 Method 1: Oven (Easiest)

1. Prep the ribs

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C)
  • Season ribs with salt, pepper, and all spices

2. Arrange in aluminum pan

  • Place ribs in a disposable aluminum pan in a single layer
  • Pour in apple juice/broth
  • Cover tightly with foil

3. Slow cook

  • Bake for 2.5–3 hours until very tender

4. Add BBQ glaze

  • Remove foil, drain excess liquid
  • Brush generously with BBQ sauce + sprinkle brown sugar + add butter pieces

5. Finish

  • Return uncovered to oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes
  • Or broil 5–7 minutes until caramelized

🔥 Method 2: Grill (Smoky Flavor)

  1. Preheat grill to indirect heat (low, ~300°F / 150°C)
  2. Place seasoned ribs in aluminum pan with liquid
  3. Cover pan tightly with foil
  4. Cook 2–3 hours over indirect heat
  5. Remove foil, sauce ribs, and grill directly for 5–10 minutes to char

💡 Tips for the Best Ribs

  • Country-style ribs are meaty and forgiving—great for beginners
  • Keep them covered while cooking to lock in moisture
  • Finish uncovered for that sticky BBQ glaze
  • Add sliced onions in the pan for extra flavor

🍽️ Serving Ideas

  • Coleslaw
  • Baked beans
  • Cornbread or rolls
  • Grilled corn

🔥 Result: Fall-apart tender ribs with a rich, smoky-sweet BBQ coating—perfect for family dinners or cookouts.
