Ingredients:

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  1. Activate the yeast

  2. Make the dough
    • Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture
    • Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic
  3. First rise
    • Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1.5 hours or until doubled
  4. Shape the bread
    • Punch down dough, divide into 2-3 pieces
    • Roll into flat ovals or rounds
    • Optional: brush with water and sprinkle sesame/nigella seeds
  5. Second rise
    • Let shaped dough rest 20–30 minutes
  6. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C)
    • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped
  7. Cool & Serve
    • Best served warm, perfect with dips, soups, or as sandwich bread
